Obama State Department coached former Ukraine Ambassador's answers on Hunter Biden in 2016

During the House Impeachment proceedings that took place on Friday, former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch stated that Hunter Biden's involvement with Barisma was a troubling issue for the Obama White House. Yovanovich went as far as to say that she was "coached" on how to answer questions involved Hunter Biden at her Senate confirmation hearing in 2016.

The Washington Times reported:

Former U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch revealed at an impeachment hearing Friday that Hunter Biden’s job at a Ukrainian energy company Burisma Holding was a major issue for the Obama White House.

She acknowledged that the Obama State Department included coaching her to answer questions about former Vice President Joseph R. Biden’s son Hunter when she faced Senate confirmation hearings for the ambassador post in 2016.

“It wasn’t just generally about Burisma and corruption. It was specifically about Hunter Biden and Burisma. Is that correct?” asked Rep. Elise Stefanik, New York Republican.

“Yes it is,” Ms. Yovanovitch responded.

This is a new development in the ongoing investigation, and in my mind, an important revelation.

“For the millions of Americans watching, President Obama’s own State Department was so concerned about potential conflicts of interest from Hunter Biden’s role at Burisma that they raised it themselves while prepping this wonderful ambassador nominee before her confirmation,” Ms. Stefanik said. “And yet our Democratic colleagues and the chairman of this committee cry foul when we dare ask that same question that the Obama State Department was so concerned about. But we will continue asking it.”

What does it say about the nature of this impeachment that even the Obama White House recognized the potential problems with Biden's son and his dealing in Ukraine?

If I'm being honest (and I am), I don't necessarily care whether or not Trump withheld aid in an attempt to obtain knowledge on possible corruption. I don't agree with foreign aid in the first place, and I'm especially not keen on government corruption.

The admittance that the Obama White House was aware of the issue, and concerned about its nature, says a lot about the motive of President Trump in seeking out potential information involving a scandal. I can't help but feel that the Democrats would not be crying foul if this entire situation were reversed. If DJTJ had received a position, and a large sum of money, while Trump was in office, would the Democrats in the House fault someone like Elizabeth Warren for trying to seek the truth?

Let's not forget the fact that we still do not have proof that aid was specifically held and not allowed to be released until an investigation had been started. I'm still waiting for the smoking gun, and my guess is, we won't find one.
